A 1996 state law gave state police sole jurisdiction over Logan
International Airport and Massachusetts Port Authority properties
within any municipality, even though state and local police have
concurrent jurisdiction on all other state property, including state
Department of Conservation and Recreation and MBTA property and state
roads.
