video shows high speed crash - tiller hits engine
there was another engine there - not sure if they saw the crash in
their rear view mirror
not really sure how those opticom systems work totally - around here -
a strobe light activates first above the intersection - then the
crosswalks clear out (which can maybe take 20 seconds or more) - then
the red is given to the side streets - and then the green is given to
the FD unit - so an approaching unit can tell that the system has
activated but they really have no idea if they will get a green light
or not
