The department continues to see an upward trend in EMS-related call
volume, which we expect to grow as we deal with the challenges of the
healthcare system and significant community growth. Our EMS service
assessed and treated 2,401 patients and 76% of these patients required
transport to a hospital for further care. The department’s EMS service
is proud to continuously meet above-average response times, averaging
five minutes 28 seconds (5:28), exceeding the national standard of
eight minutes and 59 seconds (8:59).
