falmouth seeks to add 3 repeater sites to the 1 site they already have
on 855.4625

application filed with FCC on 8/29/2025

since Norfolk County uses the same channel less than 113 KM away -
they had to get the Director of Finance for Norfolk County (???) to
sign off on it

in theory - all county government in Massachusetts was abolished around 1975

application is still pending at the FCC as of today

SNE tells us that the channel is used by Falmouth PD - and that they
also have a 2ndary TG on the State TRS -

seems like a very expensive way to provide comms - considering that
cellphones, StarLink, and FirstNet all are options - plus whatever
other UHF and VHF channels the Town has on the air - plus ham channels
- plus EMA and EMS channels and railroad channels - and 6 billion
marine channels of Cape Cod - plus Joint Base channels
