Hi,

I use the departure board feed from http://developer.mbta.com/lib/gtrtfs/Departures.csv, as described at http://www.mbta.com/uploadedfiles/Departure%20Board%20Feed.pdf. However, that feed doesn't include data for Back Bay.

Is there some other feed which includes Back Bay data, or if not is there a possibility that you might be able to add Back Bay departures to the existing feed?

I've had a number of users request this. The main use case seems to be evening commuters who catch a train from Back Bay to South Station, and then another train from South Station to their destination. In that case, they don't care whether the inbound train is a Needham, Franklin or Providence train, they just want to know when they'll be able to get to South Station, and on which track.

Thanks,
Andy

Andy, we'll look into this, but the sign is not run using the same system as the North and South Station signs, so it's doubtful that it will prove economical to add it in.

Thanks for the quick reply!

In that case, might it be possible to produce real-time data files that contain the data for all of the lines which pass through Back Bay - or all of the lines in the system, possibly filtered so that only it only includes messages where <Stop> is Back Bay?

Given that, it would be relatively easy to make a single request to your server and produce a page showing all the departures from Back Bay, though without track numbers. I think that would meet the needs of the riders I've heard from.

We'll be making an announcement later this month that you may find relevant to your request; stay tuned.

Hi,

I also use the Departures.csv file currently, and this isn't available in the new API.  Will this file also be deprecated or can we continue to use this?
