I have chosen MBTA as it has several transportation modes. However, the realtime data covers only about 12% of all available trips included in the Static data. I have downloaded the VehiclesPosition and TripUpdates feeds every 10 seconds for a whole day on June 24th, 2020, from 5:59, am until 8:25 pm. Following table shows the statistics.

Is the realtime data always covers only about 10% of thee static data?

Thank you in advance

Hello,

The table you mentioned doesn't seem to be showing up. Could you upload it to a cloud storage or image hosting service and post a link to it?

We're not aware of any major issues that would have affected real-time data on June 24th. Could you explain in more detail how you arrived at this 12% number, and what you're using this data for?

Thanks,

I am using the data for my project "Accuracy and Effectiveness of GTFS Transit Feeds for Trip Planning in Public Transit Networks”.
I have downloaded the static zip file and imported all data to Postgres database. I have also downloaded the VehiclesPosition and TripUpdates feeds every 10 seconds for a whole day on June 24th, 2020, from 5:59, am until 8:25 pm. Then imported these realtime feeds into tables in the same database. When I have selected the distinct trips in the stop_times table there were 100797 trips, while there were 11307 in the VehiclesPosition table, and  12017 for the TripUpdates table.

To clarify, since you mentioned comparing the real-time data for a single day to "all available trips included in the Static data" — are you comparing that day's real-time data to only the trips that were scheduled to run on that day, or to all trips that were in the GTFS static feed when you downloaded it? A given trip doesn't necessarily run every day, and GTFS static includes all trips scheduled for at least the next few weeks.
