Hi all,

I'm heading up to Andrews Point this weekend and was trying to figure out where to park.  Looking at the Google Map it looks like the point itself is behind some people's houses...am I missing something?  Same with Halibut Point; can you park on Bay View Ave and then go look out at the ocean from there?

Thanks!

Hi Matt,

For Andrew's Point, go straight out Point De Chene Ave to the end and park in the space between the two houses, public parking though not signed.

For Halibut Point, turn off of Granite St. (rte 127) onto Gott Lane and the parking lot will be on your right immediately.
What shows as Bayview Ave and Garfield Ave on Google maps are walking paths on gravel trails, not actual roads you can drive on.

Happy Birding!

Andrews Point in winter seems not to be a problem; there aren't many people
up there - at least I haven't had a problem, but I've never tried to stay
for too long. Maybe give the Rockport police department a call? As for
Halibut Point, there's a decent-sized parking lot that fills up early in
the day on the weekends, but it's possible to park down the road in the
direction of the Lobster Pool restaurant and walk a short way to the
pathway into the park.
