Pileated Woodpecker

The former is in West Roxbury, the latter in Dedham and Needham. I
birded from 12:35-4:00. Very nice day with sun for most of it .

Common Merganser 6  Cow Island Pond
RED-SHOULDERED HAWK 1  juv. perched in tree at marsh edge near commuter
rail tracks and I-95 not far from long boardwalk
Red-tailed Hawk 3
Belted Kingfisher 1 Pine Island
PILEATED WOODPECKER 1  Cutler Park near path to Pine Island; adult male
MERLIN 1 seen at top at Millennium Park perched high in that lone
scraggly tree; four hours later, see way over at Cutler near Vine Rock
Rd. Dedham!
RUBY-CROWNED KINGLET 1  pished in on Ruins Trail at M.P. at mouth of brook
Golden-crowned Kinglet 2 pished in on Ruins Trail at M.P. at mouth of brook
Savannah Sparrow 3  M.P.
Swamp Sparrow 4  M.P.
Red-winged Blackbird 2  Pine Island
White-tailed Deer 1
