The Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) has initiated a study
of alternatives to replace the existing Monsignor William J. Casey Overpass. The
planning study phase consists of an extensive public outreach process, and will
be inclusive of at‐grade and structural solutions. The selected alternative will
be advanced into design phase for construction within the schedule of the
Patrick‐Murray Accelerated Bridge Program.
As part of the study, MassDOT has formed a Casey Overpass Working Advisory
Group. The Working Advisory Group will study and evaluate safe, accessible,
multi‐modal landscape, streetscape and transportation options that will lead to
a project that can be completed by June 2016 under the Accelerated Bridge
Program. The purpose of this meeting is to present the study goals and outline
the work completed to date by the Working Advisory Group. Following the
presentation, MassDOT staff will lead a discussion to gather public comments.
If you have questions or would like more information about the project, please
