Subject: Upcoming TIP Building Workshops
To: mpo...@ctps.org
Please see the attached flyer
The Boston Region Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) is
beginning to develop the federal fiscal years 2012–15 Transportation
Improvement Program (TIP). The TIP is produced each year to determine
which transit and highway projects will receive federal funding.
Municipal officials and the public are invited to learn about this
year’s TIP development process at one of the TIP-Building Workshops in
February.
At the workshops, MPO staff will explain changes to the TIP-building
process and provide assistance to municipal officials and other
project proponents responsible for completing the MPO’s Project
Information Form and advancing a project. The information provided on
this form is critical to the MPO’s evaluation and selection of
projects for the TIP.
