PUBLIC MEETING
Eliot Street and Jamaicaway Crossings Project
Tuesday, March 1, 2011 7:00 p.m. 8:30 p.m.
Arnold Arboretum Visitors Center/Hunnewell Building

The Department of Conservation and Recreation (DCR) and the Emerald Necklace
Conservancy (ENC) will hold a public meeting on Tuesday, March 1, 2011, to
discuss the construction schedule and traffic impacts related to improvements at
the intersection of Eliot Street and the Jamaicaway in Jamaica Plain. In
addition, an update will be provided on Parkman Drive improvement projects at
Kelley Circle and near the Parkman Memorial. This meeting was originally
scheduled in January, but was postponed due to inclement weather.

These improvements are part of the Jamaica Plain Access Project, a joint project
between DCR and the ENC to improve safety and accessibility at several
intersections along the Emerald Necklace.

In the event that severe winter weather on Tuesday, March 1st, necessitates
postponement of this public meeting, DCR will post an announcement, by 1 p.m.
that day, at http://www.mass.gov/dcr/news/publicmeetings/parkwaysupcoming.htm.

Directions to the Arboretum are posted at
http://arboretum.harvard.edu/visit/directions/.
Attendees are advised to use public transportation in traveling to the public
meeting, if at all possible. The gate to the Arboretum, due to ongoing repairs,
is currently closed to vehicles, and parking along the Arborway, given current
snow conditions, will be limited and is not recommended.
