Семинарът е подходящ за родители и ученици от 8 до 12 клас. Срещата ще започне с презентация на кандидатстудентския процес, какво търсят университетите и какви са изискванията за стандартизирани изпити SAT/ACT, включително новите промени, свързани с пандемията. Срещата ще продължи с панел-дискусия със студенти и кандидат-студенти, приети в елитни колежи в района. Семинарът ще е на български.

College Planning, Preparation and Application Process

 

Please join us for an interactive virtual discussion

hosted by 

the Bulgarian School “St.st. Kiril and Methodii” and 

the Bulgarian Center of New England (BCNE)

 

This seminar is most appropriate for parents and students in upper middle and high school. The discussion will start with a presentation about the overall admission process, what colleges are looking for in prospective students, what are the requirements around standardized tests, and how they have changed due to the pandemic. The presentation will be followed by a discussion with panel of students who have recently been accepted in some of the top universities in the area. The seminar will be in Bulgarian.

 

When: Saturday, May 15, 2021 @ 11am - 1pm (EST)

The open discussion will be facilitated by Rumi Pavlova (BCNE) and will cover questions such as:

• What would be helpful during the high-school and/or middle school years?

• What kind of exams are required/recommended during high-school?

• What was most helpful to students during their high-school years?

• How the school counselors can help?

• What can make you unique to the Admissions Committee?

• What was most helpful to parents as they were trying to navigate through the process?
