Happy Thanksgiving! (I feel like I'm in the movie "Groundhog Day"
right now since I am re-writing this post - ahhh.)

Once Thanksgiving happens, I always feel like we are in a full on
sprint to Christmas and sometimes I start to loose sight of what is
really important during the holidays - family, friends, being
thankful, a giving heart and hope. There are many "worthy causes"
listed on the main blog page of http://www.MasonMetu.com but if you'd
like to participate in a worthy cause that will cost you nothing, then
go to the top of the main blog page and read the blurb about Project
Wrap Up Happy. My long-time BFF, Sue, sent me a link to this adorable
heart warming video. "The Gift of Happy" is about a little bear in a
toy store waiting to be picked. It is a wonderful video and please
let you kids see it with you since it is so endearing. For every
unique vieweing, AJ Wright, will donate $1 to the Boys & Girls Clubs
of America.

This weekend, you can see the tree lighting at Deerfield Towne Center
and enjoy carriage rides, a petting zoo, and see Santa Claus arrive on
a big red truck (thanks to the Deerfield Fire Dept.). This is a great
fun family event and it's free. If you want to head downtown,
Fountain Square will also have its annual tree lighting ceremony. We
went last year and it was outstanding - really fun to see so many
people getting in the holiday spirit.

If anyone has any holiday recipes they'd like to share, please email
kjgo...@gmail.com. I've been a bit of a slacker on
http://www.masonmetu.com/recipe-exchange.php and would love to add
some new recipes. At the top of the page you'll see the ad for
Restaurant.com. They have some awesome deals for dining at local
restaurants and their inventory continually changes so check back
often. They'd make great gift certificates for Christmas since the
offers are good for one year from date of purchase.

If you need a day to shop on Black Friday, McGee's Courts4Sports and
Pump-It-Up in West Chester are both offering Kids Day Out activities.
You can enjoy shopping or just some time alone if you need it. You can
also do some online shopping at http://www.masonmetu.com/masonmetu-marketplace.php.

Here's a listing of the upcoming events. Remember to check on
http://www.masonmetu.com/monthly-top-pics.php for more details. I
also have a listing of Holiday Happenings under Ongoing Events so
don't forget to check that section out.

P.S. - For those who know me, I've been a little bit obsessed with the
Twilight Saga. Luckily, I was able to see New Moon on Friday
(11-20-09) and if anyone saw a crazy lady dressed in bat sunglasses
and a bat cape on the Channel 5 news at 11 o'clock that night, I don't
know who she was or what she was thinking. lol - you can read more
about why I love Twilight on some of my blogs.

P.S.S. - Let's hope this post works this time - I got smart and saved
it. Please excuse any typos, there's no spell check on this google
email.
