Wow, another week is starting to fly by. Of course, my week has hit a
bit of a snafu with a nasty cold - all those back to school germs,
made their way to our house. Hopefully, you and your family are
staying healthy.

There is so much going on - Fall seems to be a great time of year
since the fall festivals will be starting soon. I'll keep you posted
on upcoming fall events but for now you can also check out some local
farms at http://www.masonmetu.com/farms.php.

Some upcoming events worth noting in our local Mason community are the
Mason Arts Festival on Sept. 20. This is a great family-friendly
event. Tomorrow (Sept. 10), they are having their grand opening
celebration at Performance Lexus from 5:30-8:30pm. See more info on
http://www.masonmetu.com/monthly-top-pics.php.

Also, you may want to purchase your tickets for Acting Up's next show,
High School Musical, on Sept. 25-27 at the Mason High School. I'm
sure all your kids would love to see this show. Get more details on
http://www.masonmetu.com/monthly-top-pics.php. They always do a great
show and feature local young performers. I'm singing "We're all in
this together".....as I'm writing this. Sorry for putting that little
ditty into your heads....lol.

Also, with back to school, that means that some of our youngsters may
need some additional tutoring help. There are many great tutoring
services locaed on http://www.masonmetu.com/schools-and-education.php.
LEAP has some awesome individualized tutoring and if you want to work
at home on reading with your little ones, then Embracing Early Reading
is an easy to use reading program. They are also offering some great
deals via their website and MasonMetu viewers get an additional 10%
off any current promotions they have. That is a great deal. You can
see more on Embracing Early Reading on the Educational Resource page
as well.

For those of you who know me you know I'm not much of a spots fan (my
poor husband can attest to this), but if you want to see what my
latest sports obsession is, then check out my blog, "It's a Hard Knock
Life" on http://www.masonmetu.com. You have to scroll way down to the
bottom of the page to see it.
