Wow, September is coming to a close already - time seems to fly by
when I do these weekly update posts.
Fall festivals & Halloween events are starting to take off. Enjoy fun
on the farms - Bonnybrook Farm, Shaw Farms, Blooms & Berries, Keepin-
It-Country all have fun family-friendly events on the weekend -
hayrides, picking pumpkins, farm animals and more. Halloween events
include Fall-O-Ween festival at Coney Island, Howl-O-Fest at Kings
Island, Jack-O-Lantern Junction at EnterTRAINment Junction and more.

Today there's a Safety Fair at the Mason Community Center. It's free
and provides lots of useful safety information and has interactive
activities for kids.
If you have a birthday or special event coming up, I have two "New
Finds" on the main blog page. One is for My Pizza Cake and Debbie
Meyer makes cakes that look just like pizzas. She was even featured
on Food Network's "Unwrapped" show. You can see a link to the show on
http://www.MasonMetu.com. Then there's a new bakery and cafe in
downtown Mason called Sugar Mommies Cakery & Cafe. For birthday party
ideas visit
http://www.masonmetu.com/birthday-parties.php and if you
have any additional b-day recommendations, please let me know. I love
adding to the b-day party idea list.
I've had some readers wondering about our upcoming elections and who
is running for Mason School Board on Nov. 3. I've posted some links
to local Board of Election offices as well as a link to MasonVoter.com
which gives you information on local Mason issues and candidates.
There is also a link to Boost Ohio Kids on
http://www.MasonMetu.com
which explains the new booster seat law that will start to be enforced
on Oct. 7. Great information to review.
If you want to support the Mason Schools, consider going to the Mason
Schools Foundation gala event on Oct. 3. The event will be held at
Great Wolf Lodge. I have more info posted on
http://www.MasonMetu.com
under the Worthy Causes section. There's also a fun tailgate
celebration this weekend at the Mason High School. Go Comets!
