Hello everyone, Thanksgiving is a little over a week away and the
holiday season will be here before we know it. I still haven't
downloaded my Halloween pictures to Snapfish yet - ahhhhh.

With the holidays approaching, there are so many "worthy causes" that
you can help locally. I have some of these listed on the main blog
page at http://www.MasonMetu.com under "Worthy Causes" but here are
some highlights:

- Deerfield Township is having a coat drive.
- The City of Mason is supporting Hope for the Holidays with a canned
food drive and other items.
- Warren County is having a the "Yes We Can Food Drive Challenge" to
help local families.
- Hannah's Treasure Chest - donate gently used clothing, toys,
furniture to help families in the Miami Valley.

If you don't want to cook this Thanksgiving, Great Wolf Lodge is

an opportunity for local mothers to get together without the kids to
socialize, relax, and be pampered. Special guest Dr. Susan Jacobs
from the Cole Center for Healing will talk about preventing the flu

Nov. 20-22 - Christkindlmarkt - 5-10pm (Fri) - Germania Society of
Cincinnati - 3529 W. Kemper Rd.. Colerain. $3 and FREE for ages 14 and
under.

Nov. 20-21 - Monster Truck Championships & Thrill Show - Cincinnati
Gardens

Nov. 21- Art in the Making - Cincinnati Art Museum - Printmaking:
Stamping & Patterns- For ages 6-12 years and their parents. Explore
and creat art with the help of a local artist. Log onto CAM's website
for pricing and registration.

Nov. 21 - Lollipop Family Concert - Let's Talk Turkey - Cincinnati
Symphony Orchestra - 10:30 am but if you come early (9:30am) you can
see the "instrument petting zoo" and have fun in the Kid's Zone in the
Corbett Tower. Tickets are $12/adults, $7/child. Donate a canned food
item for the Freestore Foodbank to help those less fortunate for
Thanksgiving.

Nov. 21 - Craft Sale - Lakeview United Church of Christ - 9am-3pm -
8369 Columbia Road, Maineville.

Nov. 21 - Mason Christian Viallage Auxilliary Craft Show - 9am-3pm -
Crafts, bake sale and lunch. Mason Christian Village - 411 Western Row

Nov. 21 - Sycamore Arts & Crafts Show - 9am-4pm - Sycamore High School

Nov. 21 - Where the Wild Things Are Wild Rumpus Party - Visit Joseph-
Beth Booksellers in Rookwood for a scavenger hunt, craft station,
costume contest, book reading and more. Space is limited so please

Nov. 21 - Jan. 3 - Holiday Junction - Cincinnati Museum Center - See a
holiday miniature train display. Don't forget to stop by Toys Through
Time display.

Nov. 21 - Balluminaria - FREE - 4pm-6pm - Kick off the holiday season
by seeing a festive hot-air balloon glow and enjoy holiday music and a
visit with Santa Claus, jugglers, carolers and more. Eden Park, Mirror

Nov. 21 - Mason Serves - www.masonserves.org - 8:30am-Noon - Kick off
event at Mason Municipal Center - Service projects will included
helping the elderly, outdoor cleanup, repairin & fixing, and
landscaping.

Nov. 21 - Christmas on the Plaza - FREE - 10am-6pm - Monroe, Ohio. Go
to Church St. and also in parking lot of the City Building.

Nov. 21 - Community Open House - See Cincinnati's Children's Newest
Pediatric Medical Facility - 10am-2pm - Tours, refreshments and
activities for families. 3430 Burnet Ave (next to the Post Office).
Opens in mid-December for patient care.

Nov. 21-22 - Latin American Culture Fest at the Cincinnati Museum
Center - FREE - Noon-5pm - events in the Rotunda (admission charged if
you visit a museum).

Nov. 22 - Holiday 5K Family Fun Run & Walk - Enjoy Holiday in Lights
as you and your family see the beautiful display on foot. Get lots of
fun holiday goodies - commemorative ornament, Santa sack full of
coupons, t-shirt, photo with Santa and ticket to drive through the
light festival.

Nov. 24 - Turkey Bowl - Noon-1pm - Fountain Square. Donate food and
compete on the rink with frozen turkeys. $100 cash prize awarded.

Nov. 24 - Half Pint Kids Club – Cookie Decorating - Whole Foods Market
- 10:00 a.m. FREE. Half Pints age 3-8 are invited with a caregiver to
explore and try new foods or a craft in a fun environment. Please

Nov. 26 - Fountain Square Ice Rink opens - 2pm-10pm!

Nov. 26 - Rock-n-Skate - 5-10pm - Fountain Square - Enjoy live bands
and ice skating on the square.

Nov. 26 - Great Wolf Lodge Loose Moose Thanksgiving Buffet - Noon-6pm
- Enjoy a yummy Thanksgiving meal with all the trimmings without
