Time for an update ... if you think it's all over bar the shouting ,
then think again. This week the Masonic Friendly Society, Devonport
Heritage and the NZ Historic Place Trust have lodged an appeal in the
High Court challenging Judge Thompson of the Environment Court's
decision to rule out the evidence of our archaeological experts ,
before this evidence had even been received by the Court. This has
serious ramifications, not just for our case, so we have taken the
step of challenging the ruling in the High Court.
We have also applied to the Environment Court for a stay of
proceedings until the outcome of this case is known.
Our giant garage sale on Saturday the 5th December is going to be a
ripper- there is an amazing array of goods on offer... you could fit
out a flat , your bach, start a new hobby or sport, pick up some
designer clothes, retro gear, summer reading, and lots more.
If you can lend a hand with this , or our other fundraising in any
way please reply to this post or email
ad...@savethemasonic.org.
