This Tuesday March 30 sees the Environment Court case for the Masonic
Tavern resume. We would love to see a big crowd there to listen. Kick
off is at 9.30 a.m at the Environment Court 8th floor. (If you have
been there before please note that the Kingston St entrance has closed
so use the District Court entrance on the corner of Albert St, then
make your way to the lift lobby as before). The court usually breaks
for lunch between 1 and 2, then continues until 5 p.m.
The witnesses for The Masonic Friendly Society and Devonport Heritage
will be James Lunday, urban designer Brian Putt - Planner and Dr
Caroline Phillips archaeologist.
We hope this will be the final hearing day before the court retires to
make a decision.
Our recent fundraiser was a great success, thank you to everyone who
contributed to making it such a memorable day.
We have posted a short summary of some of the issues at the heart of
the case on our home page www.savethemasonic.org.
many thanks
