Trail Prep and Other Week-Of Race Stuff

Hey CJ,

The first race is NEXT SATURDAY!! SEPTEMBER 10TH AT LORTON!! Don't forget!

We're out at Lorton today doing a course survey -- everything still looks good -- and no arrows out at Wakefield yet.

I wanted to wait until the rain storm passed over this weekend from the hurricane before arrows go up.

Here is this Week-Of Check List:

1. I will be at Lorton on Tuesday afternoon to check trails and get arrows up.

2. I will be at Wakefield on Wednesday afternoons to check trails and get arrows up.

3. We need a full head count of how many club members are going to be out on both days.

4. Need to verify delivery of the port-o-potties to Lorton Equestrian Area Parking Lot

5. I don't have a podium this year... not sure what we'll use yet... maybe cut tree logs? We'll have to improvise something this week!

6. I haven't bought too many prizes yet -- still hesitant based on pre-reg number being low.

7. I am going to cancel both XCR events -- Relay pre-reg did not materialized -- probably due to all the CX events on the same day

8. Moving the clock up on the Lorton XC race 1-hour earlier.

9. Never to late to find a sponsor -- have some lined up for next year, but still looking for some this year.

10. Lorton is rain or shine... Wakefield is TBD on weather. It can take some rain and still be usable now that the creek is fixed.

Club Needs for this week:

1. Need to ask Ryan how the club pays for half the Refs if I pay for them up front. Do I invoice Ryan?

2. Bib numbers still needed -- the ACCC one's will arrive on Saturday morning (but will not know until after NC States weekend)

3. Need to check with Spokes -- Are they going to be a part of this event or not?

4. All-Hands on Deck! Need club volunteers for Course Marshals, Road Guards, Setup, Tear Down, Race Direction, etc.

5. Not too late to spread the word! Included the One-Page Flyer -- print some off, hand them out!
