STATEMENT FROM COACH KYLE BONDO

Greetings Mason Riders and Mason Club Sports,

It is with strong emotions that I announce my decision to resign as Mason Cycling Club Coach at George Mason University.

The past 8 years have been very special to me and to my family, and I am proud of the cycling program we have built over that period.

These accomplishments were only made possible through the hard work and perseverance of a group of dedicated riders that bought into a common goal, took tremendous pride in representing Mason, and loved racing in the ACCC. I thank all riders and staff, both past and present, as it has been my privilege to serve as your Coach.

I also encourage all current riders to remain committed to Mason Cycling. I am a strong believer that this sport has always been about the riders that race it, not the coaches that coach it. Stay together, work together, and continue to persevere through the tough times to enjoy the benefits often waiting on the other side. 

I have greatly enjoyed being a part of the Mason Club Sports community, and I leave this position with tremendous appreciation for both the opportunity and for the experience, but more than anything I value the many friendships made along the way.
