Dear all,
Sukhibhava is excited to announce The Period Fellowship. The objective is to break the silence around menstruation and create awareness among one million girls.
Sukhibhava is a social enterprise based out of Bangalore working towards a vision of making menstruation a non-issue in low income communities across India.
What is the fellowship about?
The Period Fellowship will bring together 40 young, dynamic women and transwomen from diverse backgrounds to create awareness on menstruation and menstrual hygiene among one million girls in urban and rural India, during the course of one year. This is a one-year, full-time, paid fellowship, beginning from April 2018.
Where will the fellow be working?
The regions we are currently looking to work in are urban and rural Karnataka, Pune, Hyderabad and Chennai. We expect the prospective fellows to be proficient in English and one or more of these languages - Kannada, Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Konkani, Tulu and Marathi.
Timeline:
Applications open: November 15, 2017
Applications close: December 25, 2017
Programme dates: May 15, 2018 to April 30, 2019
