Hi everyone- I've been meaning to post an update for a while. Since
Wellesley (2000/01)- I went back to Lancaster (UK) and finished my
degree, I then moved home (Hastings) and continued to work for the
local Member of Parliament as a parliamentary researcher. I co-ran his
election campaign in 2005 and got my MSc in Politics and Government at
the same time.

I decided about a year ago that it was time to move on and in the
summer I *finally* got around to applying to the Mountbatten
Internship Programme. So on the 14th of January I moved to Newport NJ
and I'm now interning at a headhunters based in Tarrytown NY (so I at
least get to go through NYC everyday on my commute) and I'm going to
be here for a year (assuming I don't mess up too badly).

It would be great to catch up with everyone properly while I'm on this
side of the Atlantic (and if there's anyone back in Britain when I get
back I will make a greater effort to meet up!).

Also if anyone has any recommendations for what to do while in NY- let
me know!!

Hi All!
I finally have news about my future so am just now getting down to
sending out an update to this group.
After almost 4 years in Montreal attending McGill's medical school,
I'm graduating May 29 (party!) and just found out yesterday that I've
matched to Stamford Hospital's General Surgery residency program.
Stamford is Columbia University's community hospital program
(community = suburbs) and I'll be there through 2012 as a surgery
resident. This is great news as I think it will be a really great
program for me, it's in the suburbs which I love, it's really near NYC
and therefore near many Shakes Alums, and it's back in New England so
I won't have to spend the rest of my life explaining where/what
Wellesley and McGill are!

The last few years have held very little performance opportunities for
me (unless you count job interviews....and the random school talent
show), but I've been working my butt off and yes, even dating the
occassional Canadian man.

I look forward to seeing lots of you in the NYC area and not having to
deal with exchanging currency just to pay my rent (although I will say
the Canadian bills are prettier than our greenbacks).
If you know of anyone looking for a roommate/moving to the Stamford/
Greenwich area, let me know!
