A few days ago one of the members of our community brought to our attention an article in the LET about a charity making a desperate plea for food only minutes away from us. In the holy month of Ramadan when Muslims are asked to fast all day, and though the benefits and wisdom of fasting is a topic for a separate discussion, it really does give us the opportunity to experience what it is like to go without food all day. All praise to Allah, at least most of us have a feast at the end of the day, some don't have that luxury.
Masjid al Hidayah has decided to appeal to its community to donate food items for the charity mentioned in the article: Hyndburn Helpers. Please have a look at the image above for a list of items we are looking for and the drop off points/times.
