Is The Day of Arafat
Fasting on day of Arafat.
HADEETH: the Prophet (sas) was asked about the fasting on the day of Arafat, he said: “It expiates the sins of the previous year and that of the following year.” [Sahîh Muslim]
Tomorrow Friday 3rd October 2014 is the day of Arafat. It is a day we are strongly encouraged to fast and also to make plenty of dua as a means of seeking forgiveness and pleasing Allah.
The Prophet (sas) told us not to single out Fridays for fasting, but scholars differ as to whether this applies if the Day of Arafat falls on Friday. However would be safer and better for us to fast Thursday along with Friday In Shaa Allah
