After a recent bicycle accident, I took a look online for a place to
either report accidents in Providence or see them mapped out. I found
nothing of the sort, and I suspect that the data isn't even collected,
except for those accidents requiring emergency care. This leaves out
a lot of less severe accidents which would still be very useful for
cyclists planning a route, and for the city to know which roads have
dangerous conditions and need to be attended to.
I'd love to find out that this guess is wrong. Please let me know of
any organizations which might be collecting this information already.
In the meantime, I've created a web form where people can anonymously
report accidents, which we can then use to interactively map out the
accident locations. Please pass this along to any local cyclists you
know.

I've also heard good things about Legend Bicycle's Cycling Map. I'm
planning to stop by there tomorrow to see what data they might be
interested in sharing.
