Hi Kids....

If anyone is looking for an interesting read while keeping out of the freeze, I just stumbled upon The Glitter and the Gold by Consuelo Vanderbilt. 

She's the one whose mother, Alva, forced her into marriage to a British Duke. 

Neither she (nor her ghostwriter) is a great writer, but the book has some fun and festive facts about growing up Vanderbilt.

I had no idea the constellations were put in as a replacement for a glass ceiling! (I love that detail)

Yes, as I understood it, they had planned to replicate the train shed at the Station, but it was too expensive.

If I ever meet Carl, I’ll see if I can get his photo deck. :-)
