Weekend Working

Hi Folks,

Sorry this is late - I have been very busy with wrapping up grades
following exams and the chaos from the snowdays...

5 quick:

1. Good work at the competition in Arlington. I know we did not
finish as well as we hoped, but hopefully everyone had fun!

2. We have a second competition. February 19th at North Andover High
School. This is the first Saturday of February break, so please make
note of the date.

3. The First Lego League tournament is next Saturday, February 5th at
the Proctor School in Topsfield. We could use all of you as judges
and referees at the event. You get community service hours and it is
fun. It is a chance to help elementary school students who are
interested in robotics.

4. We also need YOUR PARENTS to volunteer, too! We need parents to
run the food and snack sales. Please ask your parents to contact Jen
LaRussa (the Proctor School FLL tournament coordinator) at
jen.L...@comcast.net to coordinate times and food.

5. Last but not least, Ryan Aldridge is interested in having another
work day tomorrow, Saturday, from 10am-2pm at his house. Please
contact Ryan if interested (or reply to this post if you have no other
way of reaching him).

(I know this makes 6...) Finally, next week we wil be meeting
Wednesday and Thursday after school.

Hi Mr. Kurtz,

We spoke about the food concession for the FLL tournament and me getting in
contact with Jen LaRussa. I spoke with Sue Lemeisz later that afternoon and
she said she and Carl were planning to speak with Jen. I offered my help to
them. I checked in with her last week and they had spoken with Jen and were
waiting for more info from Susan Silva regarding what was done last year.
I'm waiting to hear back from Sue and Carl. Just wanted you to know that it

Just another update:

Spoke with Jen LaRussa and here's info so far:

 

Friday 2/4 at 7:00 pm Jen is setting up at Proctor School, Topsfield.  Jen would love some help setting up the field, etc.  Also you need to decide who will be the four judges during the competition.  She would like to meet with the judges at this time to review the module points. 

 

Saturday 2/5 Everyone meets at Proctor School at 8:30 to set up for the competition and the snack table for the Masco Robotics fundraiser.

Mrs. Aldridge is volunteering to work snack from 8:30-11.  Maggie Judd will fill 11-1.  Need additional parent to fill 1-3 slot.  Or helpers at other two slots. 

 

Carl and Sue Lemiesz will pick up beverages and snacks at Costco and arrange for pizza pickup.  There will be pizza and drinks for Masco Robotics volunteers for lunch provided by some funds from Mrs. LaRussa.  Mr. Kurtz could you e-mail me and let me know what funds are available for snack purchases, etc. at The...@comcast.net so I can coordinate food.

 

Josh is not available - has a scout conflict that weekend.
