DENVER, Colo., May 11, 2012 - Masakazu Ito has released "Barré -
Pathway to Effortless Bar Chords" today, the second DVD volume in his
technique series for classical guitar students, produced by Sonata
Systems.
Masakazu Ito focuses on effective barré technique in his second
Technique Series volume. Hazardous bar chord practices are
identified and solutions are presented. A detailed examination is
made of the physics involved. Emphasis is placed on minimizing
effort and improving choreographic anticipation. The technical
analysis is complimented by performances of Francisco Tárrega’s
Lágrima and Study in E Minor, demonstrating proper barré technique.
Each composition is subsequently reviewed in detail using interactive
scores, with attention placed on measures containing challenging bar
requirements. Sheet music is included with suggested fingering.
