I've been doing a lot of maven 2.0 stuff for the company I work at.

Recently I began looking at Android and how to build parts of the java
framework into maven modules so that I could development with the
internal API, as well as the regular API.

I was wondering if such artifacts such as the internal api and it's
dependencies are of value to this project? A lot of the applications
like MMS seem to use the internal api and I would much like to have a
maven artifact compiled to work against it.

Is this of use to anyone? Right now I'm just doing this for fun but I
thought it might have some value to a project like this.

Hi James,

Are you talking about fixing the problem with Google stubbing all the internal APIs with unsupported operation exceptions?

Where are they stubbed, in the emulator? Those internal API's
(com.android.internal...) don't seem to be available in the
android.jar from the SDK, so I'm curious as to how you get the
UnsupoortedOperationExceptions....

I'm trying to compile a jar (or many jars) that have all of the
internal API's so that I could gain access to some of the functions
the MMS app in the sdk uses.

I'll add that maybe I don't know what I'm talking about, but when I
imported the MMS app into eclipse, that I believe what I saw was that
it depending many internal classes that were not available in the
android.jar provided with the SDK. That is what led me down this
path.
