Hi,

I think Marzipano is a great tool, I want to make sure that i'm able to use it in the future without being dependable on the website. (What if it is not online anymore...?) Is there any way to install Marzipano locally? Did anyone succeed in doing this?

thanks in advance,
Joost van Poppel

I was able to download the full website  www.marzipano.net/tool, including the dependencies. Got it to work, everything is working, except the export function. Will look into this tomorrow. Will share if i succeed.

greetings

Be excellent if you could get it working.

Relying on a cloud tool on a website makes me slightly anxious.

Hi,

I have been successful with this. The tool must be run from a web server whether on a local machine or a remote server. It will not work from a local folder directly in a browser. Also, I have only tested it with chrome. I have managed to add additional options for controlling the jpeg quality that is generated in the export.

Cheers,

Steve

Hi Joost,

I had to edit the marzipano source code to take values from my new fields. Obviously it's not the cleanest approach as we don't have the original source code but it seems to work ok.

Cheers,

Steve

Hi Stephen, could you elaborate on how I can get Maripano setup to run on my local or remote web server?
Where do I place the files etc.
I download the Maripano-master.zip and Maripano 10.2 file.

Thanks

Hi Bob,

You need to install something like xampp and then extract the zip file from the link from the email trail below into the server root folder which I think is called htdocs. If your on windows I think the default folder is c:\xampp\htdocs. You will need to access it from chrome rather than internet explorer for the tool to work correctly.

Cheers,

Steve
