Hi Reuben,

You've probably in your test code inserted some console.log() instance(s), to see in the <inspect> browser tools whether the default-view-angle does get lost in Chrome? Because if not passed on, it would be a good clue... It almost seems as if it's multiplied with a large negative angle --- so test by setting a negative angle & see if pointing up. To log both the passed variables, and the calculated positions/angles/etc and see if different between browsers.

But from my two tours I have, with default Marzipano tool made then added some extra variables (mostly, different labels on links, depending on where you come from!), your Chrome-looking-down issue doesn't appear; so it looks like a math error in your code alterations to me (or, your code alterations have unmasked an existing math error that had no effect otherwise; I don't know enough about browser differences to go search for a likely location).

Hope it helps!

Thanks for the lovely comments!

Unfortunately I cannot share the map implementation, it’s a service I offer as a company… Hope you understand.

Best Regards,

Hello All,

Have you noticed that the default opening view does not work in Chrome?

Like when you have set an opening scene view on your 360° image… it opens on that view on every browser… but on Chrome, it always opens looking down?

E.G: Try opening this in both firefox and in chrome: https://reubsvision.mu/Mauritius360.html?visit=Maconde

Does anyone know where I should start looking to try to resolve that issue?

Cheers,

Reuben

Hello Michel,

Thanks yeah – I did try to debug it back then but didn’t have much time to dive deeper into it… Finishing two years of studies in a month… and will probably give it another go…

They are an invasive species though… they’re from Madagascar and they compete with our endemic geckos…
