This has been an interesting year for me as we once again have our business methodology validated as yet another Agency goes down for many of the very things I consistently say not to do. Seven years ago I was told a principles driven Escort business would never last. Well, we're still here by the grace of god and the market and hopefully into the future.
Why we no longer advertise with Eros
I’ve done business with Eros ads for a long time. Sadly this business relationship will most probably come to an end.
Last month {June 2013} Eros ads announced the pricing for multiple provider profiles in some markets will increase with no grand-fathering for long time customers. Unfortunately, for me this is all the markets I advertise in with them. This increase effectively amounted to doubling the price. Let me say now, it’s their business model, they have the right to do what they want. Just as I have the right to decide if I want to pay what they ask.This is free market capitalism of which I am an ardent supporter.
Unlike many in our industry I can tell you the metrics of just about every ad I pay for. The traffic it generates and the booking ratio for that specific ad venue. Unfortunately, most agency owners and independents get taken by fast talking internet marketing specialists and escort directory owners selling how much traffic they will bring to their web site. Traffic don’t mean jack! it’s the booking ratio of qualified traffic that matters. For those of you who don’t know what qualified traffic means let me explain it this way:
Let’s pretend you own a Mercedes dealership. I come to you and I say “this weekend for a fee I will market your business and bring you a million people to your lot to look at your cars.” You agree and pay me up front like the sucker you are. 
Over the weekend one million people show up to kick the tires and talk to salesmen. On Monday morning you look at your sales figures and it’s no different than it normally would be. Why? Because those random million people were aged 16 to 20 who didn't have an income above twenty thousand dollars a year. 100 percent of the 16 year-old didn’t have a driver’s license. You paid me for traffic and I brought you traffic. Too bad you were not educated enough in internet marketing to understand that anything less than qualified traffic is taking you to the cleaners.
For the month of July our ad on Eros DC generated a total 325 unique visitors this includes mobile users of 110. Our internal systems allow us to see how many of those visitors enter into the screening / booking system. On average for Eros that ratio for Dreams is 6% where as industry standard is 0.5% to 2 percent. { This comes from our monitoring Escort Websites we’ve built for other people.} Part of the reason our ratio is so high is because we know our target audience. Our ad copy is specifically designed for that audience and their unique socioeconomic perceptions, belief systems, bias and psych profile.
