You and your students are invited to join us for the Education Seminar at UMBC in April featuring a presentation by Dr. Ashley Schmidt of the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee School of Education and Dr. Chris Rakes of the UMBC Department of Education. They will discuss their recent research on student discourse in mathematics education.  You are welcome to share the details with anyone who might like to attend.

The UMBC Department of Education Research Seminar continues in April with a presentation by Dr. Ashley Schmidt of the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee School of Education and Dr. Chris Rakes of the UMBC Department of Education.  Professors Schmidt's and Rakes' talk reports on their research on pedagogical decisions leading to more or less student discourse in the secondary mathematics classroom.
