Cru Mail and Pre-Cru Tonight!

Hi Cru!

Welcome back to another semester of classes, more tasty diner food, a winning football team, and time to spend with your friends at Cru. Check out these updates and announcements. Whether your summer was fantastic or you're dragging back to campus, we can't wait to see you again and hope you'll make it out to some of the events below.

1. PRE-CRU TONIGHT- Come out to PreCru tonight (Tuesday) in Armory 0126 T 8PM to catch up with friends you have missed all summer, reconnect with Cru, and be reminded of our vision for truly living in light of the gospel. This time together will give us an opportunity to be focused on reconnecting with old friends before Thursday night when we would love for everyone to be as welcoming as possible to new comers and freshmen!

2. CRU- Come to the first Cru of the Semester this Thursday, September 4th at 8pm in Armory 0126. Afterwards, join us for the Post-Cru social where you'll have an opportunity to connect with a small group, eat some delicious food, play games, and make new friends:  https://www.facebook.com/events/530863750390894/. 3. TAILGATE- Come to a tailgate in Lot 1 before the men's soccer game for our First Friday Group Out. Meet in Lot 1 at 5 pm and look for the Cru banner. Come with your community group or come on your own and get more plugged in! 4. DINER SURVEYS- We'll be tabling outside the North Campus Diner today through Thursday from 11am-2pm and 5pm-7pm and we'll be outside the South Campus Diner today through Thursday 11am-2pm. If you have time come help us spread the word about Cru with Surveys, Crupons, and lollipops. This is one of the biggest ways people hear about us and is often really fun and a great way to serve!

5. COMMUNITY GROUPS- Interested in a small group Bible study? Want to grow in your relationship with Christ and make friends that will last you for a lifetime? Connect with a small group in your area. Click the link and email the leaders http://www.marylandcru.com/grow.html.

6. FALL RETREAT- Mark your calendars for the weekend of October 10-12th. Fall Retreat is a great opportunity to form some new friendships and go deeper with the friends you already have, all the while learning more about a relationship with God.  Jeff Martin, former Cru staff member, now pastor of Rock Creek Church, will be our speaker. Have we mentioned fun? ... late night pranks, getting tackled for a spoon, dance contests, flag football, unruly games of signs, sock wars, canoes... the adventures are limitless!  This year we will bring back the much acclaimed talent show on Friday night, so get your act together and register here: http://www.marylandcru.com/grow.html.
