Measuring objects using MarvinJ

Hi there, 

How can I measure an object in a picture using MarvinJ and JavaScript? the objects of my interest are rotary cutting tools (like drills, the shape like a pencil, I mean; cylindrical). I want to get the diameter and longitude and it must be done with no manual intervention, eg the user uploads a picture and the program sends longitude and diameters (it could be one or several diameters). Maximum precision (micras) would be nice but is not a must.
