Lineage OS 16 Maru OS N5

Hey there guys!! I was wondering if you guys have plans on bringing MARU OS on LIneage OS 16.

Version 16 works so much better than version 15 (probably because of all the optimizations in android 9)

I have a Nexus 5 and installed Lineage OS 16 on it, it s waaaaaaay faster than it is on LOS 15. (in order to install it on N5 a repartition is needed through a simple command hh_repart -m from an hh version of twrp that if you guys want i can link for you)

If anybody could tell me how to make my own version of MARU OS based on LOS 16, i could try that myself too !! :)

As 07/19 u have to resize, here is the tutorial:


How to increase system (assuming that u have unmodified partitions):
1. Flash twrp-3.3.1-HH-hammerhead.img
2. Open terminal (TWRP -> Advanced -> Terminal)
3. Type hh_repart -m
4. Wait until your phone reboots.

How to revert everything:
1. Open terminal (TWRP -> Advanced -> Terminal)
2. Type hh_repart -r
3. Wait until your phone reboots.
4. Install original TWRP (3.3.1-0 at the current moment)

I think it would be VERY beneficial, because again, performance increase are SIGNIFICANT (extremely smooth and lagless experience)

I am excited to hear that performance is improved because I was not happy with LOS15 performance on N5 at all - pretty slow compared to our vanilla AOSP builds back on Maru 0.4 / Android M.

We will be moving to LOS16 before too long. When we do, I will do my best to bring our trusty old N5 to LOS16 as well!

Is there a planned time to upgrade to lineage os 16?

I haven't started on it yet since I am wrapping up some work on upgrading our images from Debian 9 Stretch to Debian 10 Buster. I will begin on LOS 16 after that's done. I'll post some updates here too as I do that.
