Hi at all,

it would be sooo great having Maru Os on OnePlus 3, its amazing what you guys are doing there.
As the OnePlus 3t has neighter MHL no Slim Port, would it work then with a Miracast dongle?

thanks

With MaruOS 0.6 out its much more suitable for the OnePlus 3(T).
I am the owner of a 3T (Although i currently do not own any special cables) and have the required unbrick knowledge / tools to easily recover in case the rom bricks the system.
In case anyone would need there OnePlus 3T port tested let me know.

If there isn't a dev out there who owns a 3T who can build within the next few days, I can compile a build for you to test like I did with the Nexus 6P even though I don't own the device.

Hi,

there is already a ROM for the OP3T, see the post "What device you want to see MaruOS running in". I am using this ROM about a few months and can say its stable, and all is fine. But I also should mention that the OP3 has just Displaylink and no Displayport, so its actually almost impossible to work with the mouse, coz of streaming, it doesn't matter if its over wire or wife mirroring, the mouse is not working fluently, it feels like working over a couple of VNC sessions..). I used the leelbox S8 Pro, and the connection works over USB tethering which causes problems with WIFI, sometime I had no connection, or I just couldn't turn on the WIFI on Android, reboot the whole system solved it.
In my opinion MaruOs needs Displayport to work properly with real mouse and keyboard on a dock.
Its sad that OP doesn't support Displayport on all of their devices, as the devices are very fast, and with 6 or 8GB of RAM they were just the perfect devices for MARU for a good price.

Andy, can you give me a link to the rom? In that topic i can only find a link to Oxi OS which is similar but not an actual Debian stack that makes MaruOS awesome.
Personally i don't mind the lack of a Slimport, it still makes Maru compete with other solutions from for example Samsung it gives users the option to either buy a device that has the technology build in, buy a suitable Displaylink dock or use it over SSH / VNC.

I currently plan to use the later for a nice personal portable desktop i can carry with me easily and use at work or public places so the software as it is should fit my use case and seems more streamlined then the linux installer packages on the store.

@Preetam D'Souza I'd love to test these builds for you if no other dev steps up.

With this rom u get a black screen once u start the desktop, therefore u need to flash su addon and replace rootfs of ubuntu with the debian one.
Unfortunatly I cant support you with this as I also got help from the developer, but I am sure theycan support you. Once its done, debian works perfect, and very fast with OP

I have taken this version for a spin, and so far its been working reasonably smooth on its default configuration.
I didn't manage to connect over VNC because i was unable to find the suitable password in time, but over an SSH X11 session i encountered no issues.
On the phone side of things everything seems stable so far but i am having one major issue that is currently preventing me from using this as a daily driver.
That issue is Safetynet, unlike other roms i am unable to get Safetynet to pass which means that i can not access my bank account with this rom.

I am unsure what is causing the failure as i have no such issue on other LineageOS based roms when combined with Magisk.

Yeah, confirm. Even I got this issue with Safetynet and can't use my bank app, same with google pay I guess.

Are you able to use Magisk to help with safetynet? I use it to have root on my S9 but it allows safetynet to pass and my banking apps and Gpay work!
