Marty update

Hi all!

Just to let you know that I spoke with Marty and Mary Ellen yesterday. They asked me to send sincere gratitude from the bottom of their hearts for everything - all the wonderful thoughts, prayers, cards, notes, food, gifts, etc. etc. - that many of you have sent over these last few months. They appreciate it more than words can express and they miss you all very much.

Marty is "hanging in there". He sounds good - his same strong voice, which is encouraging. However, he wanted me to let you know a few things. While Marty is "hanging in there", he has been having some difficult issues. His arms are quite sore and painful which apparently is a neurological and muscular effect of his other issues. He said that his Doctors have given up on trying to help him get bettter. One of his doctors is helping him manage pain so that he is more comfortable and can get some sleep. He tries to set goals to make it to events such as family birthdays, anniversaries and holidays. Marty turned 93 in February., Kyle's birthday is this Friday, their wedding anniversary is in August and a few other events (such as St Pattrick's Day 🍀).

I know we all miss them terribly. Thank you again for everything you've done. Please continue to keep them in your thoughts and prayers.
