Hi Everyone,

Our adult ed program has technology integration as a goal in our adult education program. I would like a way to measure the changes in students’ skills over the next few years. Does anyone have recommendations for a student assessment that is based on ISTE standards? I’d rather not create one myself. I would like to use something that is valid and reliable. I am thinking about a once a year self-assessment that students will do. I would look at the aggregate report to get an overall assessment of how our students’ use of technology is developing over time.

Is anyone familiar with TAGLIT? Is it still being used? Is it appropriate for adult ed students?

Also, does anyone have experience or knowledge about the Internet and Computing Core Certification (IC3) process? Is it something appropriate to provide through an adult education program? I found the Certiport website and their information only goes so deep.

Any advice you can provide would be appreciated.

Thank you.

Hi, Patte,

Ask Bob McIntire.  He has shown me TAGLIT.  I don’t know if it is still being used or not, but he could help you.  I actually think he is on this list.

So glad you are enjoying the work.

Marcia
