<<What do think of the new Beatles album "Love"? I personally was very skeptical about it, but then I purchased it and enjoyed it as it resembles a drug experience without the side effects (unless you play it too loud). Little snippets of your favorite Beatles tunes are interwoven throughout and it plays like a surreal dream.>>

If it sells well, their songs could be recombined and remixed thousands of times! This could be the first in a long series of "reimagined" Beatles albums. Imagine if they let a series of different producers have a go at them to produce "their" sound...like The Neptunes, Rick Rubin, etc. Oy!

I actually like somewhat the highly illegal but infinitely interesting
mash-up of "Sgt. Pepper" with The Beach Boys' "Pet Sounds" called "Sgt.
Petsounds Lonely Hearts". For those who don't know what a mash-up is it
is when two different songs are combined together to make one song or a
mashed song.

I think this has to be the wave of the future. There are still a
handful of completely unreleased Beatles songs, but not much else, so
there would have to be a next stage to all this. Of course, for the
purists, if you don't like tampering with The Beatles catalog, don't
buy this stuff...
