Ok, here's what's on the disc and a little info about them...9, 10, 12,
13, 16 should definitely be released commercially, but Paul doesn't
care...although he might because of his divorce...
1. Suicide (Unreleased demo for Frank Sinatra. This version was
recorded in 1974 on a tape called "The Piano Tape".)
2. Bip Bop/Hey Diddle (This was finally released on the "Wingspan"
anthology in 2001. Otherwise, it's Paul, Linda and kids fiddling about
in 1971.)
3. Ranachan Rock (Unreleased jam from 1975.)
4. Tragedy (Unreleased song from around 1972.)
5. Hey Diddle (Unreleased instrumental version from 1971.)
6. Gotta Sing, Gotta Dance (Unreleased onto record, but from 1973 TV
special "James Paul McCartney". Song written for Twiggy, but she never
used it either.)
7. Thank You, Darling (Unreleased from about 1975.)
8. Rode All Night (Unreleased jam from 1972.)
9. Did We Meet Somewhere Before? (Written for "Heaven Can Wait" (1978).
Unreleased to record, but is in the film "Rock 'n' Roll High School"
from 1979. Scheduled for the "Cold Cuts" album in 1980, but shelved.
"Cold Cuts" was to be an album of outtakes and rarities and has never
been commercially released although a few of the tracks finally were.
None of those are on this compilation that I made.)
10. Waterspout (Unreleased outtake from "London Town" album from 1978.
Scheduled for "Cold Cuts".)
11. Goodnight Tonight (Extended disco mix from 1979. Was released on a
12" record, but never on CD.)
12. Cage (Unreleased outtake from "Back to the Egg" album from 1979.
Scheduled for "Cold Cuts".)
13. Robber's Ball (Unreleased outtake from "Back to the Egg" album from
1979. Scheduled for "Cold Cuts".)
14. My Old Friend (This was released on some posthumous Carl Perkins
album called "Go Cat Go". The song was recorded in 1982 for Paul's "Tug
of War" album, but shelved.)
15. Yvonne (Unreleased outtake from "Press to Play" album from 1986.)
16. On the Wings of a Nightingale (Demo by Paul from 1986. The Everly
Brothers recorded a proper version in 1986 and released it. Their
version is great, but I wish Paul would re-record it with better
fidelity.)
17. Little Daisy Root (Paul noodling around sometime in the 1980's (I
think). He did include this as part of his multi-part radio series from
the mid-90s called "Oobu Joobu" (yes, it was really called this!).
18. Hey Jude (Live from "Live 8" concert. Released to DVD, but not on
CD. Elton John is the second singer. Not sure of the third singer, but
I know he's famous.)
19. Paul McCartney on "The Chris Farley Show" from "Saturday Night
Live" around 1992.(This is on DVD on "The Best of Chris Farley" DVD,
but it's cut off as you can hear!!)
20. Paul showing how the synthesizer worked from "Strawberry Fields"
from "Paul McCartney Live in the New World" DVD from 1998.
There you have it...
