2:30-4 p.m., Saturday
in the Hotel Bar

Read a story or poem, sing a song, perform a skit, play an instrument,
tell some jokes--the sky’s the limit (except for the 5-10 minute time
limit, depending on interest).

This is your time, “by the fans, for the fans, and of the fans…” The
open mic will be a place where anyone can express nearly anything, in
a comfortable environment. Plus, the bar will be open, too!

My twelve-year-old is keen on participating, but is concerned that an
event held in a bar will not welcome children. Perhaps this could be
held somewhere else next year.

The bar was picked becase it is a comfortable place, with lots of
room, chairs, etc., and it is a more open-mic environment then a
function room. Plus, it's in the afternoon, and the bar is opening
just for us. While drinks will be available, it is not a "drinking
event." Your 12-year-old is quite welcome. Hope to see you there!
