Dear Jeff:

I am in NYC today. The team met on Wednesday night and I think we are up to 3 people able to attend. I am copying that part of the team to see if there were more students who volunteered to go on the 1st.

Were you able to solve the logistics?  It would be nice to have MARS in the real Mars, PA again.

We lost Girls of Steel because they are moving out of their space - CMU needs to space for a contract.  Got some good field elements though.

Jeff

Hey Jeff. Yeah, they never put us in and got crushed in the round robin. We were mechanically ready to go. No, I don't think the balls would go through a hoop. They are very large. We've been so tied up with Worlds that I haven't reached out to any, but I bet the Flaming Unidroids FLL team might want to attend. I am copying their coach on this as well (Paul, it is June 1 up in Mars, PA). We are still trying to solve some logistical issues for us to be able to go. I should know more after tonight.

It was nice seeing you last week.  Would like to spend more time with you at these events, but I know your first priority is the team.  Then I get stuck in the blue shirt duties, as well.

I saw a couple of your matches.  Did you have issues during the Einstein rounds?  I saw your alliance in one or two, but you were not part of that.  Know that you can't be in all.

For our Mars New Year, do you think the cargo balls would go through a basketball hoop.  Hoop is 18 inch diameter.  I don't have a cargo ball as yet - getting from Girls of Steel tomorrow night.  I was wondering if we do a slam dunk contest.  I can bring my adjustable hoop.  Start low, and raise it up.

We will have the cargo ship and rocket from Girls of Steel as well.  Just trying to make things interesting for all.

Do you know if any of your associated FLL or FTC teams will be coming?

Jeff

Hello Jeff,
Despite ample attempts to rally up a Crew for MARS, PA. We were unable to do so this year.
I’m so sorry, we have several other outreach events in place for the next few weeks and perhaps the kids are tapped out.
Please let us know again next year and we will try to make it happen.
Yours in STEM,
Sharda
