Sounds good. Once we get the book we can start planning.

That's just one idea, MARS can come up with something all on their own if you want.  Giving you the book is so OPR can read it (if they haven't already) to come up with ideas and know what the books is about without anyone in MARS having to spend their own money.  I have it any way, so why not share?  I will want it back though, I have a thing about books :-).

Sorry if I wasn't clear!

So MARS role would be to participate in the Readings and do some judging perhaps?

Hi Earl, we finally had some conversation about the library's One Read program and this is what I know:

  1. One book-The Wild Robot
    1. Will have projects to go with
    2. Smaller zoom meeting
    3. Sign up so we can email the information to participates
    4. Not craft based, more get out and explore
    5. Break the book into sections
Sign up will begin for both The Wild Robot and our Summer Reading Program the beginning of June.

I have a copy of the book which I can drop off at your house for you to share with MARS to determine if you'd like to do a program.  My best guess is the timeline should begin 2nd week in June for projects.  Also if there is a particular section then that is appealing to MARS, just let us know.

I think the most important piece of what I've included is the get out and less screen time.  Sarah even mentioned a robot costume - where kids would post pictures and MARS could judge.

Let me know if you need more information, if you want me to drop the book off, and where.

Thank you!

Janet
