All,
Here is the schedule for the upcoming MARRS series. NNJ will no longer hold their own series and is merging with DC for the MARRS series. Three events in Millville, NJ should be exciting. Both tracks are great and the workers (ours and theirs) make for a pleasant experience.
The only other thing of note from yesterday’s meeting is that there are no changes to the race groups (at Summit Point) but we still don’t know the grouping at NNJ races. They will be based on car counts by class similar to what VIR does. Also note that the April 18/19 race at NJ is actually three races to accumulate 600 points which is different than what VIR did (2 races) in the past. Heat races (shorter than Feature races) are the equivalent of our old Saturday races and the Bill Scott championship for Summit Point Saturday races is no longer.
Anyone interested in a meet-up for lunch sometime before racing season in April?
Regards,
Chuck

All,
Thank you for your participation in the meeting yesterday. Your dedication and contribution is what makes our program a success!
Reminder: We are no longer referring to events with multiple numbers, every MARRS event will be assigned a single number only. What differentiates each event from a MARRS points perspective is the number of Heat or Feature race sessions offered at the event and therefore the maximum available points. Please help to explain this change to anyone who asks why we no longer use multiple numbers or refer to events as double or triples. This change helps us align with SCCA changes with regard to sanctions for SCCA race weekends.
I've included full size and mini schedule images for use in any posting or distribution you may want to make to your specialty or group.
