Here I want to just open Hotspot & tethering screen from button click, so user can create Hotspot manually. I have searched a lot but no any implicit intent found for go that screen. Also Can I open popup in which user can write Network name and security details ? If yes, so how ?
I was able to create an open wifi hotspot in Android 2.2 programmatically and to read out the ip and mac of the connected clients using the ARP-File: code hereNow I would like to find a way to restrict the use of the wifi hotspot. I want to use an open network and not set up any key. Either it should be possible to block certain clients (maybe mac filtering) or disconnect already connected but unauthorized clients. The idea is to send messages to the hotspot through a wifi connection. Some clients should be allowed to access the hotspot others not. How can I develop something like that? I would appreciate your help or suggestion.
But if you use an open network will be very tricky to control access even thougth you deauth the clients they always can change theirs macs and try to look like a legitimate user. You will never have 100% control of the clients in an open network.
I have a dash cam that connects to WiFi for full functionality, and in this case, that being my personal hotspot. In order to connect to my personal hotspot I have to have my personal hotspot open in my settings for the dash cam to recognize the hotspot and password.
I am trying to connect to a wifi hotspot of a local ISP, but I just failed with all tries.
The hotspot is unprotected and service is provided by first connecting to the hotspot
(with no WEP/WPA key needed) and then logging in with a web browser with a paid
for user name and login.
The hotspot is detected by the scan and signal level is fairly good (better than -60 dbm
with an RTL8187 chip wifi card. It also seems that I generally can't connect to
unprotected wifi points, there are others in the neighborhood but I always fail the
same way.
Hello, ive been trying for awhile now to achieve getting an open nat type on my ps4 while using my Iphone and sony xperia Z5 premium's hotspot. I tried many things to change my nat type from 3 down to 1, but never worked. Can someone tell me what i could do to change my phones hotspot nat type to Open? Thank you.
Most mobile hotspots, and smartphones, do not support a UPnP routing option. However, the option to update UpnP recently became available on the AT&T Nighthawk LTE Mobile Hotspot Router.
You cannot but there should not be a need to.
The hotspot should be dropped when you authenticate with your own WiFi.
(and even if not there is nothing you can do on that network except to authenticate with any of the networks in range - if you know their password only of course).
This scenario is possible: if my home Wi-Fi accidentally freezes, the access point will start without a password, and one of my neighbors will be able to enter credentials of his Wi-Fi access points, raspberry will connect to his network and thus he will get access to the openhаb and linux OS.
I have called onstar several times, today for the forth time to work out this problem. It is always exactly the same thing. Forget the network, leave the truck with the door open for a few minutes, jump through some other hoops. It always ends with, we have to open a ticket for their other support guys and they will call me back to let me know when the problem is fixed.
I am having the same issue on my 2015 Cadillac Escalade ESV. Connection to WIFI works fine. No connection to the internet at all. I have opened an Onstar support ticket. Really need this for my trip comming up.
If you currently have a case open with our OnStar Internal Technical Team, we would be more than happy to take a further look into things and see where we may assist. Moving forward, kindly send us an email to socia...@gm.com with "ATTN: OnStar Community/Steve82" in the subject line. We are happy to help to the best of our abilities.
Managed to get something working based on an example but not exactly as I wanted it. Basically I have an icon for my hotspot and it opens an image. Right now i'm using the onclick command but for some reason the hostspot only becomes active when I pan to a certain spot in the pano and then the image opens. Would like to the image to really appear where in the area that the hotspot was clicked and then I need to figure out a way to close image by clicking on it.
Hello, I am very much a beginner with PlayCanvas but have managed to sort out my models and add in a UI. I am now stuck with creating a hotspot that you can click and some text + image information appears.
I have had a look at this however I need an information hotspot to appear as a pop up after clicking a button. From what I can tell this example is just a circle that pans to the camera and has a clicking effect on it.
Ideally, I would like to re-create this information pop up screen which appears on the right after clicking on a hotspot but I only currently can make an image or webpage appear in another tab and not withing PlayCanvas

Showing some UI with information is basically just enabling an entity in your scene with all components. The pages I shared shows you how to detect a click on the hotspot so you can enable an entity like that.
Hi everyone,
Just one quick final check in here since activity has slowed down. We'll be locking the thread in the next 24 hours, but if you still need help, I would be happy to keep it open. If there's more we can do, just let me know.
Thanks,
Jeff
I just bought a Samsung S4 and am using its portable wifi hotspot feature for internet connectivity on my laptop when I go out the house.Works just fine when browsing the web(actually quite fast) but when I use uTorrent, it has an orange exclamation point icon near the bottom right. Downloads are slow even if I have 20-30+ seeders(around 6-10kbps max). Did a quick google search and found out(using canyouseeme.org and port forwarder port checker tool) that the port used by uTorrent is not open.
Also with iPhone hotspot off, a reboot of Volumio does create its initial hotspot just fine, but on activating iPhone hotspot Volumio fails to connect to it unless I go into network settings and manually choose it.
(2) actvate iPhone hotspot & your RPi should connect to it allowing it to get album covers etc. At this point your RPi will have been given a different IP address from in (1), and you will not be able to connect to it, except on another device connected to the iPhone hotspot.
So, you need to leave it for a sufficient amount of time (no idea how long) at stage (2) to get your cover art, or borrow another phone/tablet/laptop etc. to connect to the iPhone hotspot and Volumio (you can then see when you have got all the cover art).
Thank you for your continued help with this bud, I am currently doing exactly as you have listed, have been nearly all morning.
The problem is step 3, when I turn off iPhone hotspot Volumio does not activate its own hotspot, even with fallback switched on.

Cant turn on my wifi/hotspot, sometimes its ok but when i turn it off or restart my phone wifi wont open again. I already tried to reset factory data still not working. Any suggestions how to fix this?
A security hotspot highlights a security-sensitive piece of code that the developer needs to review. Upon review, you'll either find there is no threat or you need to apply a fix to secure the code. For more information about Security Hotspots, take a look at the SonarQube.css-bb4kdsmargin-left:0.5rem;display:inline-block; and SonarCloud documentation.
From SonarLint for Visual Studio version 7.1, it is possible to locally detect and report hotspots locally for C, C++, and JS/TS languages. Requirements include running SonarLint in Connected Mode and being bound to a project in SonarQube 9.7+ or to a project in SonarCloud.
Improvements with v7.1 include the local detection of security hotspots and the option to report hotspots found by SonarCloud. When running in Connected Mode with SonarQube or SonarCloud, security hotspot analysis rules for the applicable languages will be run each time a local analysis is triggered.
Locally found hotspots will be highlighted in the editor using the characteristic SonarLint squiggles. In addition, a list of all locally found hotspots will be found in the new Local Security Hotspots tool window, which will open and close automatically when there is a local hotspot to report. Selecting the rule key of your hotspot in the Local Security Hotspots tool window will open the Sonar Rule Help window where you can review descriptive and educational content associated with the hotspot.
Hotspots already detected by the SonarQube or SonarCloud server are shown in the Sonar Local Security Hotspot tool window. Newly detected hotspots that are matched to already known hotspots marked as Fixed or Safe on the server, will not be shown.
From SonarLint for Visual Studio version 4.29, SonarLint provides a way to investigate Security Hotspots found on your SonarQube server. This is an integration feature: when viewing a hotspot on your SonarQube server, you will notice a button named Open in IDE; selecting that button while Visual Studio is running will open the hotspot's code file in the IDE.
When SonarLint receives an Open in IDE request from the browser, SonarLint will verify that the correct solution is open in Connected Mode. If not, a gold bar will be displayed with additional information being logged in the Output Window:
If the correct solution is open and the hotpot's code location can be found in the solution, SonarLint will open the file and navigate to the relevant code. In addition, the hotspot is added to the SonarLint Security Hotspots tool window where you will find additional information:
