Theback room of the barber shop is a small, dingy place, one bulb, barred windows painted black, with a door to a bathroom. THREE DOMINICANS, eighteen or nineteen years old, good-looking, expensively dressed, are playing pool with TWO NEIGHBOURHOOD GIRLS, a little younger, sexy.
Quisqueya and Guajiro walk away. An important detail: light from the bathroom is not diffuse, but a straight angled line to the bar. This entire scene, I believe, is given far greater christian overtones than in the book or draft script, and the bathroom light is almost like a mystic sign pointing to where death will fall.

While Carlito's Way bears that telltale De Palma touch of the Grand Guignol, it's positively staid compared to the excesses of the director's earlier Latino crime epic, Scarface. And therein lies the root of the former film's most conspicuous faults, for in tossing out the operatic lunacy while clinging to the shameless melodrama, De Palma neuters Carlito, rendering it essentially indistinguishable from any other gangster flick. That said, there's plenty to admire here. Presenting only the final chapter of an underworld titan's fall is an admittedly novel approach, and it's fairly remarkable how De Palma sketches in so much back-story with so little exposition. While the film's violence often seems dispiritingly obligatory, it's also presented as a nasty, messy business. Tellingly, Carlito often bests his enemies through bravado and trickery rather than brute force, and the film privileges the competing criminal virtues of preparation and adaptability. Pacino, with a laughably protean Puerto Rican accent, is fully in his post-Sea of Love self-parody phase here, but Sean Penn, behind child-molester glasses and beneath a Larry Fine 'fro, is deliciously loathsome as criminal defense attorney David Kleinfeld. Unfortunately, Carlito feels like a middling gangster drama from an aging stylist who is capable of much more. (see: Ridley Scott.) Most exasperating is De Palma's affinity for torpedoing the film's most appealing moments. This unfortunate tendency is epitomized in a scene where Carlito's ex-flame Gail (Penelope Ann Miller) enticingly suggests that he could break down her chained apartment door if he really wanted to ravage her. What song does De Palma use to cap this searingly erotic sequence? Joe Cocker's "You Are So Beautiful." Yeesh.
The scene is right after the boat trip where Kleinfeld kills the Italian mobster. Carlito is sitting at the bar, playing with a bug under a shot glass. Saso says something to him in Spanish and mentions the names Pachanga and Benny Blanco. As Saso speaks, you see Pachanga come in the back door and then leave.
The first of those is Nando Parrado, one of the two who climbed a 15,260 ft mountain peak and hiked for 10 days and approximately 38 miles without gear to seek help. He appears very early on in the movie, during the airport scene. As the actor who plays his character, Nando, is entering the airport, we see the real Nando Parrado open the door for him and his family.
To initiate the next case, you must be back at the security room at 6:00 AM. Before that happens, you should have plenty of time to go back and take care of any scoops that you missed as well as the new ones that are soon to come. Note: Out of Control is absolutely the most important scoop in the game. It happens at 9:00 PM in Wonderland Plaza. If there is one scoop in the game that you do, make sure that it is this one.
The only caveat at this point is to make sure to get back to the security room by 6:00 AM otherwise it becomes much harder to progress through the next group of missions. As the clock strikes six, a cut scene will get activated wherein that dastardly villain Carlito will show up again. Damn his nefarious ways!
You and Brad will again need to team up if Brad has any hope of taking him out. The gate separating Paradise Plaza and the Entrance Plaza will now be open. Head out of the safe house, and down through the warehouse to make your way into the Paradise Plaza. Make sure to grab yourself a katana and a SMG while you are here. Next, head south to the Entrance Plaza. Once you arrive, you will be greeted by a cut scene revealing that Dr. Barnaby is being suspended over a group of ravenous zombies and it is your responsibility to help him out.
This is the second battle with Carlito, and it is significantly harder than the first one. This time around, Carlito will have a sniper rifle and he will be taking pot shots of you and Brad. Once the cut scene ends, dash upstairs and head to the left. There should be a sporting goods store here, quickly go inside and grab a hockey stick before you square off against Carlito. There are two ways to take on Carlito this time around. If you have Adam's small chainsaws, then the easiest method is to merely run up to Carlito and start swiping away at him. The chainsaws should only take a few hits to finish him off.
If you try to take him on face to face, he may attempt to knock you over if you get to close; just be aware and hit him with the chainsaws as he does this. If he runs away from you, he will drop grenades behind him. These are best dealt with by retreating and taking up a defensive position behind one of the pillars. If you find that it is too hard to get close to him for any melee attacks, then a suitable alternative is to keep your distance and use either the SMG or the hockey stick on him. The upside to using the hockey stick is that the pucks do more damage than bullets and that you do not have to aim, as it should automatically do this for you. A few hits with either of these weapons should put a stop to Carlito's evil ways.
After Carlito makes his devious escape, you will head back to the security room with the injured Brad and the rescued Professor. After this, you will need to pick up some medicine for Brad from Seon's Food & Stuff in the North Plaza. Before going anywhere make sure you save. Hopefully, you unlocked the bathroom shortcut from taking out Adam in Wonderland Plaza. If so, merely drop down to Paradise Plaza, and cut through the ladies' room. Go directly North from Wonderland Plaza to get to North Plaza and subsequently Seon's. Upon arriving, you will notice that the super market is mysteriously quiet, head to the back in order to gain entry to the butcher's shop.
As you attempt to head into the back of the store, you will be confronted by a maniacal grocer. He will attempt to ram you with his bladed shopping cart if you get close. If you get too far away, he will pull out his shot gun and start firing on you. Make sure to always keep some obstacle in between the two of you in order to obstruct him from ever hitting you with his cart.
Dash over to the checkout counters, and wait for Steven to catch up with you. He has a really difficult time maneuvering through the narrow aisles there, so it is the perfect opportunity to blow him away. Note: Steven will occasionally climb atop his cart giving you a chance to snap a pic worth 10,000 PP if timed correctly. A yellow PP symbol will appear over his head when the time is right. Once you have Steven stuck on the checkout counters, merely whip out any ranged weapon you have and blast away at him. If you don't have anything worthwhile, then it is possible to run up behind him and hit him with your chainsaws which will take him out in 3-4 hits. Of course, he will probably get at least one hit in on you this way, but there is plenty of food in the store if your health gets low.
Once you have taken care of Steven, pick up his pharmacy key and go through the doors in the rear of the store and from there into the pharmacy. Grab the medicine pack and head straight back to the security room, ignoring any scoops you get along the way. It is important to make sure you do this quickly because you will have plenty of time for scoops after you finish the mission.
As a whole, the website offers extra details to the overarching lore of the series, and is currently still updating. The website likely has multiple authors, with some pages being intended as "different" websites.
