Failed to initialize graphics environment when using marlin-0.8.2-Unsafe-sun-java2d.jar

Hi,

today I was trying to use the latest Marlin and stumbled into this:

24 dic 19:36:16 ERROR [geoserver.ows] -

at java.security.AccessController.doPrivileged(Native Method)

at sun.awt.X11GraphicsEnvironment.<clinit>(X11GraphicsEnvironment.java:74)

at java.lang.Class.forName0(Native Method)

at java.lang.Class.forName(Class.java:264)

at java.awt.GraphicsEnvironment.createGE(GraphicsEnvironment.java:103)

at ...

My command line looks like:

-Xbootclasspath/a:/home/aaime/devel/marlin/binaries/marlin-0.8.2.jar -Xbootclasspath/p:/home/aaime/devel/marlin/binaries/marlin-0.8.2-Unsafe-sun-java2d.jar -Dsun.java2d.renderer=org.marlin.pisces.MarlinRenderingEngine

Removing marlin-0.8.2-Unsafe-sun-java2d.jar from the command line allows it to start up fine instead.

I've also tried to put the marlin-0.8.2.jar in "p" instead of "a" but that did not help

Hi Andrea,

Are you sure you used jars from:

https://github.com/bourgesl/marlin-renderer/releases/tag/v0.8.2

Marlin jar provides the missing classes: marlin-0.8.2-Unsafe.jar

Please add '-Unsafe' to the jar path (bootclasspath append) that looks missing !

You should see marlin info in your log (catalina.out)...

Oh hey Laurent,

yes, I had the wrong file name in the system variables, thank you for pointing that out.

Funny that the java runtime does not fail the startup in that condition...
