I think this may have actually been the photo that planted the seed for this whole sky series.  We were eating in a restaurant and I saw the sky from our table.  I ran out and snapped some photos, knowing that one day, these would become paintings.  And it seems silly, but I haven't had the chance to get this going- I have been so excited to get these onto canvas but I was always in the middle of something else.
Woohoo.. good painting day....

And now I'm off to make my pecan crusted trout with edamame succotash- before the babies wake up!

LOve it!
It certainly doesn't seem silly.

Thank you!! Yes, I have to mention that last night's dinner was really fabulous. And surprisingly easy to make! Today, however..... we had some guests for lunch- my daughter's best friend from school and her mom. I made cookies (oatmeal craisin- recipe is on the oatmeal box, with my substitution of craisins for raisins- seriously great cookies), and I tried to make bacon with a baked german pancake to which I add apples and cinnamon. Well I burned all the bacon (for which I am actually pretty notorious), and I forgot to cook the apples in butter first- for some reason I just added them to the batter I have no idea why (which kept the pancake from puffing up), I totally forgot to add the cinnamon, and it took so long for the oven to heat up that the kids all got so hungry they spoiled their appetites with potato chips. Not my best lunch. So although I would love to say that I rock, I think it's more accurate to say that I simmer.
