Some users have been experiencing issues with the /tmp/<userid> folder redirection, introduced with SC 2.6. Apparently some systems create the userid folder in /tmp automatically, some don't. I have not been able to find a pattern yet, so I have created a login hook that will create the folder in /tmp if it is not already there. To ease the installation of the login hook, I have created an installer package an included it in SC 2.7.1. You can access it by choosing the "Create Login Script Installer" menu item from the Server Cleanup menu.
If you are having issues with folder redirection, try installing the package on your machines. You should not need to rerun the redirection in SC. Apple Remote Desktop is your friend here, as you can use the "Install Package" option from the Manage menu to install the package to all your computers at once. As with any change to your system, you should try running the installer on one computer first, to make sure it does not cause any havoc in your environment. You do NOT need to install the package on the server (thou it shouldn't hurt anything if you do).
